BROTHERHOOD OF MAN

If every one who reads this
Gave us a cheque for ten
Or ten time ten the amount
Be it Dollar, Pound or Yen

Rupees, Roubles or Yuan would do
Would help us with our cause
To run schools and feed children
We could do it without a pause

We have managed well so far
Without passing the hat anywhere
Lack of funds would shut us down
It's something that we can't bear

For this current impasse
We have politics to blame
But if we can't feed those kids
It would be a matter of shame

We are giving knowledge
In a place where no schools exist
No health care or assistance
For tribal people to subsist

It hurts our pride to ask you
To come forward and help
You should have done it
Without us having to yelp

But if you wish your children
To have a future secure
Then come and help us please
To find a social cure

For disparity in society
Will one day effect us all
It will trouble our children
If you don't hear this call

By lending a helping hand
You will do more than most can
To show that you really believe
In the brotherhood of man
