THE WALK DOWN THE HILL

Dazzling is the sun as he walks down the hill side

The road meandering and wildflowers swaying mild

Reminded is he of her arms as they waved unabashedly full

Enticing him and finally daringly to her had him pulled

And finds himself smiling softly as he maneuvers a stream

Murmuring turquoise and crystal clear as his dream

Now gurgling, arching and twisting around him light

Yet bold and brazen, as she had been all through the night

He sees her as she had lain in his arms damp and sated

After fires that engulfed them had languorously abated

Suddenly a skip in the stride, and he is himself swinging

Down the hump, a song in his mind unsung begins ringing

The distant peaks glint in the sun and the snow clad tips

Bring a vision of other snowy peaks, begging to be sipped

At the mere thought of her a whisper of his breath escapes

And resounds in his ears, and glazes his till now clear gaze

Halts he, wondrously alive, shaking his head at his new plight

For her laughter stays entwined in all that around him he sights

For had she not with her laughter true and uncurbed

Giggled aloud her glee at his antics sensuously reserved

And the warmth of the sun echoes the fire that in her heart lies

As the nip in the wind heralds her tingling sensual sighs

While the undulating hills reveal her curves to his starved mind

Wonders he, pondering…where will he again ever her find?
