GRIEF & HOPE

Can the grief be real
Can the remembrance bring life to the dead
Or is he a soul silently watching me from mid air,
Giving me strength in the midst of my struggles and sacrifices,
You are there somewhere,
Where human beings and god share a common dwelling place,
Like a bird you flew away never to return
While your longing has never ceased to flutter,
There is a hint of life in the first rays of dawn
That you will come out into the light
Not in body but in soul that became perfect in the flight
As you merged with the infinite,
You come back through the fluttering of sudden trespasses,
Where my soul leaves aside the body to be with you
Till the morning when my sleep opens up to life,
Remembrance is like a prayer without a calling now
For yearning gives way to respect for your abode now,
Your portrait shall forever be young
In my heart where your cherished memories are clung,
Painted by tears of pure emotions,
I live 2 life now,
My life that is in progress
And your unfinished life that you wanted me to carry on,
You still live in the living world of my thoughts
Where the memento of life are your fond remembrances
Which no gold or diamond could have ever brought,
The unfinished journey of life was destined by the infinite
In whose arms you would now be cradling,
In the immensity of my emotions led bare
By your early departure,
Every inch of my crying soul had one common expression
Searching all over for your incarnation,
In the endless journey where you belong
While stalled emotions are driven by your remembrances
Where past and present rhyme in one common bond,
My tears may dry up yet again
As dawn comes one more time
Reminding me that I am living 2 lives,
The rays across the vast mantle spreads its arms
Where I see them in fullness
As hope thrives in the blessed freshness,
And the insight comes from a distant dwelling place
That a deprived life need not be grieved
As he is happy above
And wants me to live his unfinished life below
If that be it, then let the life be a celebration
As I am living 2 lives now.
