SILENT TEARS

Along the bathing beach, as waves hit the shore,
Her thoughts come smiling at my heart’s door.
Each wave which cuddles my cry.
One heals my heart, the next dresses my eye.

Second into minutes and minutes into hours they grew,
Sweeping winds of wintered night blew.
Evening diminishes but my tears do not!
Yet they drip and drench my heart.

Silent tears stream down my face, yet!
I squeeze my eyes and shut them tonight.
Hoping her memories would vanish from my heart,
Little did I realize that she has torn my soul apart.

Hearing someone laugh, I turn and find her face,
Her hurtful words and this laughter- an image I can’t erase.
Crimson tears still cry and laugh in despair,
As they flow and stain the dusty air.

I ask each tear that rolls down my cheek,
Why you break open my eye and sneak?
Reply I receive: whenever we find you swimming lonely,
We happen to fall to provide you company.

Only in agony of parting did we look into the depth of love,
Thoughts burned memories still keep haunting me from above
.
Equipped with a fake smile, I begin to live in my own reality,
Butt… I lead a life of a split personality.
