FIRST
RAIN
Twisting and
turning amongst trees
snake like wet n shiny
roads,
patch of green here n there
muddy poodles of rain water
everywhere,
little children jumping in them
splashing rain water at
each other
each face gleaming with joy
shiny as if so many sun
shining at one time
slight drizzle not dimming the sparkle of their
eyes
giggling, laughing and playing having fun and frolic
that was
worth seeing
people standing under umbrellas enjoying scene
It’s an
after math of heavy down pour last night
Lashing down with all its
might
cleansing everything in its sight
looking so clean, clear and
bright.
Each tree, shrub clean to the core
intense heat vaporized
into cool soothing air
rest remaining is a dream and not a
nightmare,
free from the heat wave of yesterday
looking for a cool
day ahead.
