Silent Longing

Watching the crimson sunset,

over the landscape unfold,

I see her lovely presence,

too beautiful to behold.

Cloudless skies smile at me,

and the stars with delight abound,

I sing my song enraptured,

to celebrate the love I've found.

Wishing upon a falling star,

asking for the one I love,

the beauty who is unparalleled,

with the innocent eyes of a dove.

In mischievous mirth, smiling at me,

her regal persona radiates a song.

Though I doubt if she'll ever know,

it's her love for which I long.
