Shattered Skies

Shattered stars lie scattered,

burning fragments in the night sky.

Bearing mute testimony to pain,

the only ones hearing me cry.

Darkness and desolation sets in,

as I sit here despondent and alone.

My heart's bleeding with pain,

and I have no one to call my own.

Shedding cold tears of sorrow,

my heart's freezing to ice.

Tearing at my heartstrings, is this pain,

and into pieces, my heart does it slice.

The white virgin snow witnesses,

the bright red stain spread.

My tormented soul takes flight,

leaving behind an empty shell..DEAD...
