An Unknown Song

Should I sing that childish rhyme
That is pealing loudly
And repeatedly like a chime

Should I do a simple twirl
Wearing a full skirt
And watch it sensuously swirl

Or scrawl some utter nonsense
On the damp grainy sands
To make of my mood some sense

Perhaps I should run amok
Race downhill with the wind
Skimming over those hidden rocks

Or just sink headlong into bliss
By laughingly tilting my face
To the sun for a languorous kiss

…For something is making me sway
To an unknown rolling rhythm
And I feel so unreasonably gay

So my arms weave a meander
And motionlessly dance and sing
As gleefully to your love I surrender…
