Yesterday…Tomorrow Trapped in my arrogance I burn like dried leaves Consumed by memories Of words all too shallow
I won’t show you my pain Nor will I ever curse you But like the ashes left behind I will mark my sorrow
Wish I’d learnt from yesterday The path that leads to tomorrow ‘Coz reality always let me down Such bitter pills to swallow
Now I see the pattern You scratched on the walls before It was me yesterday Someone else tomorrow
Yet who do I blame but me For taking what was not mine Time and again like a beggar The cup of sugar I borrow
