The Garden Song When your silhouette Quietly appears, And the memory Of your presence floats Out to touch—
It is as if by magic Those barriers Dissolve, and fall-- Leaving but A vast , open
Barren expanse, Bidding you welcome, To come sow Your seeds—see them Bloom and grow—
Grow into a fragrant Lush garden-- Where now, The sun shines, And streams gurgle;
Where laughter ripples, And sorrows Transform into singing Colourful birds, And peacocks that dance.
Mingle with crimson— Ochre and green entwine Under a sky Reflecting your eyes;
Where the wind Dances a meander Through flowing tresses— Undulating silkily Over those cornfields.
And if ever asked-- Do tell them of this Once arid heart, Which now vows to bloom and sing… ~Horizon~ 10th Dec 2005
