IT MEANS NOTHING

It's been many years since I held you weeping

like a child in my arms. Deep inside

you're as soft as a ball of cotton wool.

all those years just helped to grow a shell

they did not

calcify the core. Yes, my love

in moments like these I know exactly

where I truly belong. You may fool the world but how long

can you run from me? I am strong. I am

built to survive no matter what. Like a worm

that can live beneath rock. I don't need

to hold up the sky. I only need to hold you and be

with you always.

What is ours will be ours. But for that

to be so, we must ourselves be together

always

You know, separate and alone by themselves

"you" or "I"- it means nothing

It is "us" and "ours" together

that is one and everything.
