Words

I watched as you laugh, you joke, you tease
I watch you, weeping, the insanity
Your words, as simple as they seemed
Cut loose the arteries inside of me
Your words, as insignificant to you
They don't seem to know the damage that they do
They cut, and slice and hurt and shear
They hack, and tear, and kill and spear
They make me think things I don't want to think
Things if spoken, you'll call me sensitive
Your words, like you are nonchalant of what
And whom they speak to, and who they thwart
Your words, so easy you speak them, you forget
The very words make me live with regret
Your words, as funny, as witty as you feel
Made life a very painful ordeal to go through
Your words made me cry, made death look so friendly
As Satan waved his fork, twitched his tail gaily
Your words became your weapons, they're not your toys
Your words tore me apart, your words, destroyed.
