STOLEN NIGHT

Idle footsteps beneath the velvet skies

Sprinkles of stars reflecting pearls of sands

Within the soot dark night came fire in his eyes

Unnoticed he took my guilt-laden hands

The swirling waves pounded rocks so mighty

As my heart pounded as his figure drew near

Emotions entangled, a stolen kiss could it be?

I pulled away as from within stemmed fear

The heat grew, fanned by caressing ocean breeze

A night unblemished, stolen from reality

He gazed into my eyes as I gazed into his

Hands entwined, I wished morning would never be

The ocean shall be witness to this end of start

I shall conform to a reality I could not fight

Like footsteps he made all over my heart

Etched for eternity, this stolen night.
