You didn't notice the silent tear that dropped,

You didn't realise the agony in my eyes,

You couldn't spot the lump in my throat,

You didn't feel the searing pain through my heart,



You couldn't recognise the constant ache after that,

You couldn't fathom my chaotic thoughts,

You didn't pay attention to my topsy-turvy world,

You didn't mean it to be like this,

When you didn't accept my love.



I wonder if you know

That those memories still disturb me sometimes,

That I tried very hard to forget everything,

That I failed miserably at first!



That I got over it somehow,

That I want you to be happy always,

That I still cherish you, keep you close to my heart,

That my love was true?

I wished that time would stand still but it just brushed past me,

So I let go?
