LONELINESS

 The dusty winds are violent
and the roads are long and dumb
Before my heart goes silent
will you never come

 

I am  hurt and torn 
and loneliness fills my years
the feeling that you have gone 
fills my eyes with tears

 

In the darkness all alone
In silence I have wept
for I have broken down
with the scars my love has left

 

Like a star in the day
hiding in the blue
Though I am far away
 I do still love you

 

You have gone away
and vanished in those days
but in my heart today
you have left an empty space

 

I just think of you
whether I laugh or weep
I wish to again see you
before I forever sleep...
