I saw it not there, nor did recognise

The journey’s end of my sentiments,

But you saw it shinning crystal clear

Reflected there in my weeping eyes

How did you so easily read my soul

When I could read it not at all

Did I give you everything else too

Besides giving you my heart

Reeling was I under the trauma

Of a love that had gone missing

While through all the pain you read

A clarity and calm within me instead

Yes, there is not much that you miss

And I understand that clearly now

For with your quiet eyes you saw in me

What I may never ever have…
