DISORIENTATION

The day spent in a semi daze,

While in the night, a hum overflows

Into my mind’s maze, as it glows

Sleep douching the fires

Of my eyes as early as ten,

Blazing new past midnight again

When sleep walking in the night

With a vision clear bright

That would rival a young kite’s

You spoke of disorientation

When the mind blanks, & the sight

Grays, blocking away the light

I call it thus, when for the light switch

On my wall there since twenty years

I reach for, on the other wall, most queer!
