THE
MACHO POET
To
read his words the whole world flocks,
The macho poet paradox.
This northern outdoorsman so bold
Yet shivers in Florida's cold.
He murmurs not at broken bones,
But for a lady's love he moans,
Does not feel dislocated arms,
Though can't resist a woman's charms.
Strong and old-fashioned he must be,
But dominatrices wants he.
In souls and God he can't believe,
Though in soulmate does seek reprieve.
A mass of contradictions, yes,
Yet fascinating, I confess.
