The
Heartless Poetess
She writes her heart, she's known to say,
But now her muse has gone away.
Both high and low she's often looked,
Still cannot find the route he booked,
So cannot ply the poet's art
Because it seems she's lost her heart.
She hopes the finder will return it,
Or if he'd keep it, try to earn it.
Perhaps then she need not retire,
But find a new muse to inspire.
