The Last Walk In The Woods

I took a walk in the woods
With a thought at the back of my mind
I stared at the moon
Missing you deep within!
I said to myself as I sat on the bench at the riverbank
Said that I love you and I needed you!

Needed you to hold my hand
As I walk in the woods,
And needed you to hold me in your arms,
As I stared at the moon!

As the river kissed my feet
I could feel my hearts defeat
It lost its existence at the hands of love
The love that I was so strongly feeling for you
The love, which I could never show to you!

I got up to go and felt I am leaving something behind
A feeling of emptiness crept in me
And my heart was filled with pain.
Yes! I was leaving you behind;
Leaving you there so that I could come back to reality
And you exist forever in the woods and in the moon.
I knew in my heart, though
Wherever I would go I would feel you around
Feel you in the silence and in every sound!

The moon remains always and so would remain the fact
That I loved you and love you even now
I needed you, but
Perhaps I do not need you now
As the love has surpassed the desire to get you!
