DREAMS TANKA The remnants of sleep Still cling to my misted mind But clear thoughts of you Come instantaneously. Are they evidence of dreams? ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ SONNET Please do not ask me if I dream of you. I don't remember what I've dreamed by night, Though I confess that thoughts of you ensue Upon my waking in the morning light. Nor must you ask about my dreams by day Lest I display some feeling I would not And thus my vulnerable heart betray By telling much more than I really ought. Yet, if you listen closely, you may know The things that I am wishing I might hide, For everything I say and do will show The passion I feel growing deep inside, And many things I think I should not tell May be revealed when I'm under your spell. ~Marilyn Gordon~ January 21, 2002
