CHRYSALIS

Slivers of excruciating hurt
shiver across nerves
betrayingly

senses thought benumbed
rebel in silent protest

unanswered questions..
emotions ragged ravaged
abused..

tears still held in that
choked breath
that needs to feel again

parched for life
a tattered soul
looks for some relieving shade

for that respite
that healing

despairing of that 'crater'
within

devastated.. a chrysalis
never to spread it's wings..

these gossamer threads.. mesmeric
lure into a living hell..
