A SIMPLE LETTER

A SIMPLE LETTER

You might be wondering sometimes,
why I cannot write a simple letter,
beginning with-My Dear....,
and starting with Hi
and how are you,
then telling
about what I did today.

    Not that I did not try
writing such letter.
My Dear I find superfluous
because you are mine and,
of course,
you are dear to my heart
and this is a fact
you know as well as I do.
I can't write how are you
because
I already know the answer
to this simple query-----
That you are lovely,
beautiful and loving.

        What I did today,
or for that matter yesterday,
or what I shall be doing tomorrow
is again well known to you-------
- and it is a fact
that all the time
I keep on thinking of you,
dreaming of you
when I am sleeping,
talking to you
whenever I am alone,
and writing to you-----
my thoughts and feelings.

            This is exactly
what I am doing now,
and I realise,
I have ended up
writing a letter
just like previous ones.
