MELODIES AND PAUSES

Everybody can sing a sad song

And everybody can paint a frown

You said you loved me for I was different.

So when love hurts,

I don a smile.

Reciprocation is only for the sweet moments of love

And Guess I am scared to let you know how

You hurt me.

So my eyes still shine

And we both show

How we are so perfectly fine.

Guess I don't want

You to hear anything

But the sweet melodies of life!

And I just wish I could

Ever peel the smile off

And show you, deep inside

A heart is no different than others

And

How I bled inside

Trying to hide the sad song

With my smile -

And

Keep humming all the while.
