road of life,
Not on crutches,
Not on tears,
But on the sheer strength,
Of an iron will.
I have walked the
road of life,
Not for the glory,
Not for an apology,
But on the unwavering love,
Of my endearing family.
I have walked the
road of life,
Not for the stars in the sky,
Not for the answers to all the why's,
But on the good wishes of well meaning friends.
I have walked the
road of life,
A road paved with fond memories,
A road paved with unconditional love,
A road paved with tender care.
I turn back to see
what have I left behind,
Only to find,
A well-paved road,
For I have had,
A GREAT WALK OF LIFE!
