Had you
but
added a
few crystals of attention
to this
bland cup,
a casual
pouring
of
glistening treacle-
racing
giddy sunshine-
igniting
the dark passageways
of
existence.
Had you
but
cared to
share a few drops
of
anesthetizing charm,
syringing
a glow
which
perplexed passersby
by shaking
the aura in their faces,
making
them wonder how and why.
-But not a
grain of your time
did you
care to spare,
and yet
the hourglass continues to empty
