Disillusionment

Meandering through

Life’s vast array

Of translucent secrets

And daunting lies.

Facaded by intrigue

Of adapting a new persona;

Unfaithful to your own.

Wandering astray

From virtues in multitude.

Transcending into an envelope

Of nostalgia.

Instances recalled and revived

Are but fleeting,

For reality is jaded

By our own trivialities.

Trapped by this void,

Which keeps intensifying,

Till the pressure corrupts you

Consumes you

Paralyses you.
