YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ME

Filled with love our hearts are
Yet so full of strife.
The silence between us is so thick
you could cut it with a knife.

We've hit a wall again
and there's nothing I can do.
Don't even know how long
this dream I'll pursue.

You don't understand me
or how I'm feeling.
Nor can you see that you are
the reason why I'm breathing.

Tell me why it gets harder
to see where I stand?
Trying to talk is futile,
Why don't you just withdraw your hand?

In me loneliness found a new friend,
for you don't see
my dreams or the things I believe in
You don't understand me.
