Those Spanish Eyes

What can match the innocence

In the eyes of this little child?

One glance of her Spanish charms

Leaves us wondrously beguiled.

One wonders what she's thinking

As she studies her world around,

So little she really understands in

This new world of sight and sound.

Miquela’s eyes reflect such absolute trust

For the one who gave her life,

The one who’ll teach her day by day,

Who’ll be with her thru times of strife.

As we glance into those ‘windows’ of the soul,

Our hearts grow soft…and we smile,

She’s fragile as the most perfect rose,

As delicate as the lily of the Nile.

God fashioned her as only He would:

As perfect as an early sunrise,

To see this, one has only to look

Into these enchanting Spanish eyes.
