You fell in love with each smile of his.
Love's tempest and no one can hide you,
but they didn't tell you this.

but the one special man you'll someday find.
Yet they didn't say how their own hearts bled
how they struggled to get love out of their mind.

Love is beautiful, they all said.
Told you of Love for Love's sake.
They painted the whole picture in red,
yet none warned you of the heartache.

And now you know it too,
For you've suffered twice as much.
Now Love has stung you too,
And you shy away from every touch.

You'll know how hurt one would feel
tomorrow when you grow old.
Yet when to them your story you reveal,
you'll discover your heart didn't grow cold.

You will deceive someone too,
