MURPHY’S LAW

Last night my newfound
English teacher,
Tasked me to sketch an
Empirical feature
Of whatsoever trend I saw
In tenets of the “Murphy’s Law”.

If something can go wrong,
Sure it will
What use are beans that
Don’t spill
Propounded then in simple terms
Chocolates, computers today have worms

No perfect plan been ever laid,
Has survived when first contact was made.
Any system is designed to fail
Though one may go in great detail
On a sunny afternoon you shine your car
And rain and dust won’t be too far.

When all invitees are carefully crafted
And brief intros too suitably drafted.
To have at home a select few
To wine and dine that’s long overdue.
....................Lo and behold
Verbatim as I was told.

My esteemed guest just came on line
Things with him were not too fine
Lord Murphy has this last long laugh
As fever grips the better half
With her tiny tot too in trail
The first shot thus happens to fail.

But in spite of  the Murphy’s Law
Always seek the last straw
As on-screen the new plans hatch
There always is next
Bus to catch.
