How hard can it be?

Sometimes I really wonder,
how hard can it be to love me?

I don't ask for much,
just a bit of care.
I only want you to,
my laughter and my tears share.

I want you to be true,
not just an ethereal dream.
But you care not for me,
or so it would seem.

I want you to know,
that your rejection tears me apart.
Without even knowing it,
you've broken my heart.

That's when I wonder,
how hard can it be to love me...
