FOR A LOST CHILD

From the time we arrive on earth

Until the time we leave,

We all should be so thankful for

The life we receive.

Some lives may span a hundred years

And some but a short time

But which ever this may be,

It is by God’s design.

Although the tragedies of life

May sometimes block our way,

Such is the substance of our souls

To be tested each day.

Cherish all the memories

as now fondly remain

For one need not forget such things

To over come the pain.

The love you shared should not be less

Because you feels alone,

Love should warm the lonely heart

For that is how it’s shown.

And when the angels hasten you

To greet that one gone by,

We shall embrace them once again

And not again ask why.
