CHAGRINED, ONE DAY...

Oh! You have stolen my poetry

And left me bereft and vacant,

Stand I now sterile, desolate

Shamefully poor and pillaged

My pain and my ecstasy you stole

My longing, my search simply stalled

While you promised me nothing, left I

Was with wanting nothing to hold at all

So an overflowing empty fulfillment

Which surrounds and me restricts

Do I search wildly while I search not

For you stole my soul, but kept not it

Mechanical, robotic have I become

With eyes locked to a never ever hope

Why did you steal my poetry tell me,

And leave me only with…this…
