As She Walks...

He says he badly needs to be laid
Because he was hard this morn,
He awoke up with a reminder
That he was now so very often alone

The mental diary starts to click
As he flips through the pages of names
Wondering which one would be lucky that night
As he mentally disrobes them bare

Frantic heated necking in the car later,
Dim corridors and raw carpet burns
The satin sheets wait while they make out
Hungrily on the worn out entrance floor

Wrapped in nothing but their desire
They then sit and talk
Passions spent, time for words
They find a few that were left unsaid.

Each alone and yet not lonely
They often come together
To satiate and quench that hunger
The sometimes blazes asunder.

As he takes his leave from her
Briefly something flashes by,
It was as if a ghost had walked past
And quietly smiled her sensuous smile.

Pretending indifference, he casually strolls out
But his eyes wildly search for her, that ghost
For she was once that part of him who walks
No matter where he is anymore.

He doesn't share her at all, this man
He doesn't share with any, this his woman
To hear her mentioned by another
Makes him feel she has left, been lost in wonder.

So keeps her within and adds to her he does
As he sees her now and forever
For though he often walks alone in the rain
Her cloak keeps him safe and tender.
