The
story of fire.

Long time ago, so we hear.
God taught man to tame the fire.
We learnt to burn raw deadmeat,
To add that taste, to relish and eat.
But of late, it's been bizarre.
We burn flesh living, in that fire!
And stranger still, throwing aside the gore,
We stoke the fire, to burn some more.
On second thoughts, not that odd is it?
'Tis the Godless savage that kills to eat!
For heaven beckons, if you can kill,
And desist from a bite, yet have your fill.
