MY INVISIBLE VALENTINE
I turned on the bed
And I heard your whisper in my ears
I opened my eyes
But you were not near
Being miles away you wished me for the day
So how could I just not remember you today!
I went to the market
Bought a bouquet of red roses
I wrote this poetry for you
My love is what it encloses
For I know we would be forever true
And come what may, I can always trust you.
I kept the bouquet at the windowsill
I was sure you will come and get it; yes you will!
I closed my eyes and sang a song for you
I said I love you and would forever do
I kissed you in the trance
And saw the love in your glance.
I opened my eyes and saw what I wanted to see
The bouquet was gone, as it had to be!
The day was worth calling a day
Because you were close to me
We never met; we never touched each other,
But you are forever with me!
