Emptiness
I reached into my mind last night
Seeking reason in my crazy plight
And found .... confusing emptiness
Then I turned to my soul to ask
Questions I had just unmasked
And got.... unanswered emptiness
I thought my heart would rescue me
In my darkest hour of misery
And discovered.... sobbing emptiness
I surrender to the Almighty
The answers are with Her, not me
And She'll see me through this emptiness
