BUTTERFLIES AND LIES

Butterflies are temporary
But lies, oh they continue to endure
For in this world of seeming transparency
What seems, is never what is, and all is allure

So lies put on veils, and grow and grow
While butterflies diminish
For they have no cloak and must parade in grace
But lies are unseen and never wear a face

Thus butterflies fly and so quickly die
But lies persist, and  are spread without guilt
For truth has no base and knows no home
But lies have receptacles stronger than stone
