A VALENTINE WISH

I'd offer you a Valentine
If only I could see
The one thing that would please you most,
Whatever it might be.

I'm sure a Hallmark card won't do -
Besides I've no address
To send it to, and poetry
In that style won't impress.

Nor can I send you sweets or blooms -
For reasons, see above.
In fact, there's little I could give
To show my thoughts of love.

Instead, you have my wishes that
Someday, when we have met,
You'll find that what I give to you
Will be the best gift yet.
