Youthful Age

Read to them often while they lay in bed
Warm humorous stories to remember what you said
Set the time or swap the time that is going to be used
Television has its merits but can also be misused.
Build a trust on school house grades
Children to be in the house when you pull down the shades
Money never given unless a trade for doing toil
A child should know the work ethic for money can spoil.
Teenage years with its highs and lows
Hormonal changes and time moves slow
Parental responsibility no one else can assume
Explain in the home what is not taught in a class room.
Young adults work or go to school
Parents still responsible for the "golden rule"
If their legal residence is still at home
As a parent you cannot leave them alone.
Remember your childhood and how did it grow
A Mother of love and a Father that made it so
Gifts are given and some times we have to wait
Life is to experience, grow, change, and participate.
