Thirst

There is a thirst for immortal words,
They were held bondage for ages,
Fluttering inside the cage
Dying to come out ,
It took them hundreds of years to find freedom,
The poet is uneasy, looking for seeds of words
To sprout in glorious expression of a poem.
To bring hope to dire agonies,
When thoughts become sublime
Transcendental words coming over time,
The poet has waken from the slumber
Lifting the thoughts of the reader to a new high,
Words emit the light to creating a marvel
Like a torch of hope burning for life,
When thunder brings thoughts of fear,
And lightening pervades outside
The words bring the calm inside,
Words are tireless, never yielding rest
Constantly in life, so tender but stronger
Like raindrops put to the test,
Words are companions for life
Though i pray to the lord
Let my words rise,
Let my words rise,
Above the trifleness, above selfish desire
Let them soar through the sky,
Constantly in search, like a bird with wings
Exploring and bringing new things to life.
