SEARCHING

When of this earth it is my time to leave
If I had questions about God and life then I may grieve.

Knowledge is freely given if we only make the choice
Above all other creations on earth we were given a mind and a voice.

We must communicate and express our inner feelings
To gather information and keep what for us is revealing.

More than one gift is given for us to succeed
Just as we can use more than one gift to do the good deed.

God is not a genie in a bottle or in a special place
Rather it is everywhere and expressed on each human face.

We cannot find if we do not look
God is everywhere and not just in a holy book.

This life is not just a moment in time as it may appear
Rather it consists of experiences gained through the years.

When it is our turn to depart and in silence go
May it be with assurance and a smile; "thank you God for now I know".
