Memories come back to haunt
Indelible as they are,
Tears trying to wash them aside,
Miseries of life, hurts of life
Leave a scar,
Grief cannot heal a burning life,
Sorrow and thought rhyme
When insecurities surface and
Grief attain life inside,
The stab of pain that once was
Now come back to haunt one more time,
What is my life,
When eyes open, reality bites,
I keep them closed, the past ignites,
Whom do i blame
Head bowed down in shame
For the past memories to fail
But they linger inside
As fresh as the burning
Of the soul in suffering pyre,
Give me back my happiness
The years lost in sadness,
Your parting was pain,
Your memories provide painful company
In the turmoil of emotion's yearning
You left me amidst the glistening of my eyes
When tears flow, eyes open or closed
In the hope of creating your imaginary world
From the depths of your grief
That love created inside,
the healing of which i thought
You would someday provide
A suffering soul crying inside
Shunned from the outside,
Years of wandering led me nowhere
The quest of your search gave
The agony of the passing years
Until the moment of your sight
When all grief attained life
