Loneliness

Your craving is intense
When my eyes open to the light
From the dreams that echoed your calling
Into the wakeful moments,
Giving life to tears
In the unbearable pain of your parting,
The marching of lonely thoughts
That seek your destination,
The fury of your yearning
Or the tumult of a vain wish
Now stilled in your contemplation,
In a gnawing pain that lingers and hurts,
Marching thoughts that have no destination,
Unrest grows before th eyes
Painting raging emotions in colours of red
Through the burning of soul in stark daylight
The ashes of which still long for your smile
That you fail to see,
The wait has been long,
Since the first flutter of the  heart,
The waiting for those lips to whisper
Words of hope and love,
To breathe life in my longing wish,
When the long wish for centuries find utterance
In the ripple of an empty face.
