CONTENTMENT

There is contentment in a full stomach
When emptiness gives way to life,
Hunger no longer hurts and bites
When tiredness gives way to eagerness,
Body and spirit rekindled through the morsel of food,
There is a deep contentment,
In the smile in a face
That erases the lines
Brought about by pangs of hunger,
Give food to all, my father
Let the morning bring in hopes of utter fill
And the night brings in the calm,
For there is life in body,
A sense of peace flows in it
Brought about by the nourishment,
Not a soul should go hungry
And there should be food for all,
No one should go hungry,
Can my Prayers and lords blessing
Bring about utterance to a ravaging hunger somewhere,
Man is born, food is life,
Let there be sufficient food for all, my father
When the hunger be sustained by thy blessings,
No one to go hungry,
In the love of life, in humans sharing,
That empty stomach shall be forever filled,
In the promise of unseen,
Of the faith of utter devotion,
When striving for food shall be rewarded,
And the candle of hunger shall be put off
By the fill,
But there shall be light in the eyes of one
Whose stomach was filled,
When the dying shall be revived
And the giver of life shall deliver,
Prayers shall be answered
In the holiness of the hour when
The ravaging hunger shall be blessed
And the fear in the eyes shall give way to glow,
Praise to the lord,
When deliverance took place
And the soul shall live praising you.
