Midnight Star
and the lovely moon rises high,
I lie on the grass and look,
Sometimes,
late at night,
I gaze at a faraway star,
even though it shines afar.
I've named it after your name,
'coz no matter where I go,
whether I be happy or in woe.
Happiness dissolves into grief,
as the star is no longer seen,
by the clouds so obscured.
I pray to the Gods above,
to return my little star to me,
"Everything I've dreamed of,
is what I've found in you,
every dream that I ever had,
you have the power to make it true."
