I wonder what it takes,

to write poetry ?

Broken relationships

or a departed soul ?

Pain from the loss of a pet,

or was it just a jewellery set ?

I wonder then, if it's politics,

or a beautiful scenery,

William Wordsworth and others,

were inspired by nature !

But most often now I see,

It's pain that's inspired people !

Stress and depression,

leaving lasting impression !

Scars of mental abuse,

and the pain from constant pressure

There's no more inspiration

from sheer pleasure or happiness,

What a world are we in today ?

I wonder , I too despair !
