You and Me



In a moonlit arbor, under the trees
We sat together in harmony
In contented silence we whiled away
These precious moments of the day.
You and me.

And as we sat there silently,
In thought we pledged solemnly
To fulfill and cherish forever more
The love that for each other we bore.
You and me.

And on through eons of eternity
Together we shall always be
And though death do us bodily part
Yet we shall be one in soul and heart
You and me.
