THE WAILS OF SILENCE
The wails of
silence pierce the walls of solitude,
Ears strain hard for strains of just your prelude,
Heart betrayed the body to follow you through thorns of life,
Cushioned their pricks on your tenderness shield like ,
It yearned but failed to bring solitary smile on your face,
Failed to break your self inflicted woes and silent base,
Your oath never to give expressions to your inner fallacy,
Keeping sorrows within cocoon like causing incurable malady,
You realized not, the punishment you inflicted on self,
Was more severer on your love than your own self,
Every foot forward in the prosperity of home and hearth,
Pushed you reckless steps behind in the matters of heart,
Fires of heart you snuffed out by acid rains of the rich,
Hearts choked for want of a lone unsaid word, that niche,
Why relations withered and lost the test of time,
Why love stands all alone on the sands of time,
Why I see you beggar like ,not for want of money,
You amassed it and multiplied it against all odds,
Today the world bows before you or your amassed wealth?
Today you completely forget all what you ever said,
"My love", you said was your lone and only desire,
How desires changed affinity to material pastures,
Was it not you who pledged undying togetherness,
Was it not you who moved ahead leaving behind a solitary worn out
heart,
Let go they say,
Do trust they say,
For how long?
Life you are so short,
Each breath so bated,
Eyes painfully piercing for someone moving away,
Wait they say,
I can't wait for your roses and carnations on my grave,
I live in today,
I wait for you and your love now while I live,
Facing the vagaries of life together as one
Was not that our only dream to welcome?
When and how our dreams took different forms?
You ventured into the material
While I vainly waited for you your love,
Money kept eluding you,
You kept eluding love......
Today I pity you my love,
Inspite of prosperity ,
You appear pauper like,
Today when you found money,
where is your love, your peace, your purpose??????
